King of the Hill vs Domination
So today we got King of the hill added as new game mode to the beta. A small scale infantry only objective based game mode. It has rotating objectives that need to be captured and hold for a certain time to deplete, As with all objective based game modes the biggest frustration is of course teammates that don´t PTFO and play every game mode as if it was TDM. So in the case of King of the hill they will help capture the objective if you´re lucky but as soon as it is captured they run off.
Still I quite like these type of smaller gamemodes, it adds variation to playing normal Conquest. However, having also Domination in the game and I assume later on Rush and TDM will be added as well, my fear is that either there will be too many modes on offer, or they will become time based event modes.
I think Dice need to focus on offering a few core game modes. Keep it simple!
