Lets about jets from a pilot in BF3 and 4
First off the game looks amazing and the performance is pretty good apart from the CPU issues that some people seem to be having but im sure that will get fixed.
Did anyone actually playtest the jets? They have no dogfight mechanics... BF3 and 4 did it right, there was an optimal turning speed to make high G turns using breaking paterns and a little afterburner on the way up, speed control awareness, confusing your oponent by using ECM jammer to take yourself off radar, the opponent would then have to watch for the ECM trail and try follow, it actually had depth to it there was a massive community in BF3 and on 4 and some still dogfight to this day, anyone remember Flabslab? im not damanding a copy and paste but if you can't come up with something better why not just stick to what works?
The radar is too small you do half a loop and can no longer see the enemy jet.
For me the TTK on enemy jets and helicopters is very quick you barely need to aim just land a few bullets and boom its gone.
There are other issues but it looks like they're known, 3d spotting doesn't work, repairing only works on one side of the map, wish we could land and repair, the disabled mechanic was better imo you either had to bail and wait for another jet or land and repair.
The fire power is good, bombs are fun, the freelook in 3rd person is very nice, but freelook locking with guided missile? Seems like it might be a bit OP but we'll see.
