Maybe I was harsh
So I've been playing a little more today and realized I wanted to touch on some of the previous points I made in my last post. I'll make this onw shorter since the last one was practically a manifesto.
New negatives:
- The fire grenades shouldn't lock your ability to shoot your weapon. That maybe a bug though
- The class respective field-spec feels kind of useless and becomes a gimmick after a while. It was cool at first, but I find myself hardly using it. Unless it's for Engineer so that I can get the +50% vehicle repair efficiency.
- Repair tools are too strong. Vehicles may be underpowered (In my opinion), but put a good engineer behind one and they'll never die. Especially with that field spec I just mentioned.
Positives:
- So I said in my last post that the maps in this game suck, which I still think Cairo is bad, but I don't hate the mountain map (Medevac? Liberation?) and the other city one is ok. So I don't think the maps aren't bad, just not as good as I would like them to be. I'll get over that though.
- This isn't necessarily a "positive" but I said that the matchmaking was broken in my last post but didn't really go into detail. I think I was just pissed off. It feels like when you win a game it's because your team is actually playing the objectives. Crazy right? You win the game by playing the objective! Anyway, jokes aside, the point gaps that I mentioned in my last post were still present. We won by like 400 points. I'm not sure if it's the influx pf CoD streamers to the beta right now or just people trying out mechanics and not trying to win as much. Whatever it is, I shouldn't jump to the conclusion that the matchmaking is completely broken before the actual beta weekend even starts.
I still stand by the things like, the assaults class being useless, vehicle cooldowns, TTK, and overall weapon feel. However it's only the second day of the beta, the early access beta too. Plus some of that stuff is minor. I'm sure the weapon problems will be fixed. I haven't given up all hope yet
