My thoughts after the open beta
I’ve spent some time with the Battlefield 6 Open Beta and here are my thoughts on what could use some improvement.
Visually, the game looks solid and performance is generally good, but DLSS on quality mode can sometimes bug out, causing a pixelated mess. I also had a few random crashes to desktop (on Windows 11, using the Steam client). On top of that, I ran into some weird graphical glitches that only went away after respawning.
Here are the main issues I noticed:
• Weapon balance feels off, especially with shotguns
• I don’t like that the Support class only has a single pouch that combines ammo and healing
• No option to throw grenades back
• Engineers get way too much RPG ammo
• No option to pick male/female characters (the voice really affects immersion)
• No server browser like in BF1
• Matchmaking often bugs out, putting squad members on different servers
• The in-game menu is a mess and really needs a redesign
• In some parts of the maps, your operator bounces around like a rubber ball and launches away
my specs:

R7 7800x3D
