Phenomenal Beta, What a blast!

Night and Day difference from 2042. I enjoyed both, but after playing both very recently I kept going back to BF6 and was the first game in years that I played the same game with my cousins, this was a blast to play with them!

Overall this was a great Beta and I am excited for the upcoming content at launch to help with Breakthrough and Rush such as the ladder and Sledgehammer(if that is going to be an item based on the trailer). My major feedback issues have already been addressed on the "Known Issues" sections, so my feedback now are things that I have not seen posted, but If they are out there somewhere I apologize. So these are more minor or silly issues I would appreciate your time to look into...

Gameplay Bugs/Issues

  • Occasionally while mantling over obstacles the character will bounce too high being suspended in the air for a split second longer than intended.
  • Gun reload animation doesn't always show visually but the bullets do replenish(so just a visual)
  • Part Question: When picking up a fallen soldiers weapon, it equipped their entire class as well, Is this intentional or a bug for the beta? It seemed strange, but If that is intended then discard this issue.
  • A few times after being revived by a teammate, I came to life with a new class and sometimes new weapon, sometimes the same weapon.
  • A few times for myself and my cousins, our classes would randomly change in the middle of a match, without anything crazy to prompt it, one moment i would be an engineer, then the next I was a medic and started reviving everyone haha, that was hilarious!
  • While in queue for a match, the time in queue is displayed, but not the mode we are queuing for. I would like to also see which mode we are waiting in queue for next to the time we are waiting.
  • Red-deploy beacon(or whatever its called): this happened constantly when placing the re-deploy beacon while running even in white(showing it is good to place), wouldn't deploy, but it still "used" the ability/tool. Then while holding completely stationary, made absolutely sure it was on flat ground and with the white outline that it is good to deploy, about half the time it simply would not actually deploy it. This was extremely frustrating, but just needs some fixing up before launch.
  • After starting to revive a fallen teammate, I stopped reviving them to shoot an enemy I just saw, but instead of pulling out my gun, It pulled out my "Epi Pen" used for reviving people, and it just held that in front of me when I was away from my teammate and not reviving them anymore. Also quite silly, and only happened one time.
  • I'm sure this was common, but saw image stretching pulled some of the stretch lines to a singular point on the screen at random times. Just a visual thing.
  • Physics were cool but sometimes very strange. I understand while sniping, dropping from a medium sized rock should move and sway your sight drastically, but often going from a tiny small rock or pebble size down one inch or so would cause the same amount of disturbance. I think this should just be scaled down for smaller objects like that.
  • This was hilarious, Tank shots should blast us into the air, but regular bullet would very often shoot our characters 5-10 feet away from our death spot, and one instance I got on video, was shot and flew over one of the 10 ft walls on the Snowy mountain pass map and landed to safety to be revived. that was cool for me, but seemed strange for standard rounds.
  • When In a party with my cousins from the main menu, when we joined a game, we were not placed in the same squad in game. then another game it DID place us together, but a few games later it separated us again, it just seems inconsistent. I would also like to have larger party sizes around 6-8, many of my cousins and brothers want to play Battlefield again after so many years. You guys are doing things right this time. Let more people play together. It will help you.
  • I'm glad you already addressed breakthrough and Rush with slower respawn times for defenders and lower players on some maps, because I know this is common, the snipers on defender side breakthrough/rush on the snowy ravine map was devastating to attackers. I never saw attackers win on that map with the snipers around, so I think your solutions should help or do the trick.

Personal Preferences/Recommendations(not necessary but appreciate looking into)

  • Anti Tank mines are constantly destroyed and with such little health. I know there should be a balance of potential damage to one shot tanks vs how easily it can be seen or damaged? Because I have to put myself in the line of sight of the tanks to put these down in most instances, making it very dangerous then they get shot by a few standard weapon shots......Would you consider either making it shorter(harder to see) or have more health for standard guns to destroy them? Maybe only allow an engineer tool to disable them with their repair/damage tool(promoting further teamwork) and tanks be able to destroy them?
  • Again about the tanks, It felt like they were constantly being spawned between 1-3 tanks at a time, there were so many constantly coming. I know its part of the franchise, but IT DID SEEM LIKE A LOT! If more people played as engineers, maybe it wouldn't be as bad, or buffing our launchers to do a little more damage to only require 4 shot kills instead of 5, but I felt like I kept having to play engineer even if I wanted to play as the Recon class, because someone had to deal with the tanks, so that's what I dedicated myself to do. Would you consider making the cooldown on respawn times for tanks longer for teams that are ahead in points/reinforcements? That way you don't Overbuff or Overnerf tanks, simply spread them out.
  • Also, you offer great benefits to reviving and playing medic class, which is great, but I still get half of my games that everyone still ignores players lying on the ground even in safety and not in danger. What else is there to do to encourage/prompt more revives? I think allowing downed players to grab/hold nearby allies would be too much haha, but that would be something to think about as well.

Thanks again for a great look into the game, It was very well done, all of the classes and weapons felt great to play, sniping is awesome, Dragging and reviving has been soooooo needed for years! Overall, I saw many good things to look forward to and was even more fun to play with friends!

    • Oh also on the Cairo map (I think its called) the city one, there is a big sun glare coming from the base of a building at ground level, Im sure you are aware of that though.
    • but also, please just do not take any feedback from gaming streamers/content creators. Their goal is personal financial gain. Keep Battlefield, Battlefield focused, don't change the formula. Keep the simple game mechanic changes you are already doing like drag revives, sledge hammer and ladder tools are perfect changes that improve battlefield, while maintaining its core, the medic class changes. I hope they enjoy the game for what it is, and i hope they keep playing after launch, but they shouldn't change what makes battlefield great.
