I been into several conversations on that issue and I would prefer the glint gone (auto spot makes it unnecessary for counter sniping anyway) so long as you are not getting hit by the sun. It would promote snipers to move more and stop camping on the highest point of the map looking for and advantageous position unless you wish to be the most popular player on the game (in which case you have my blessing). With the glint gone, snipers would be more concerned on finding more tactical positions (intel, flank, flush, or assassinate key players, will vary on each battle experience)
Personally I feel that it would give the recon class a more active role and your squad will fill the difference (keep getting sniped) in the game cause that glint makes it really hard to not sit back and camp (for those who enjoy the bolt action rifle)
Yeah, I feel like glint isnt really needed anymore. It was increasingly necessary as we scaled up the maps but weve hit an equilibrium here with a cap of 64 players (like bf4, which had far less restrictions on sniping). Plus the fact that spawn beacons wont be available for recon anyway? What does it matter if one guy gets 10 kills from some remote rooftop, one kill and he has to move back manually. It just feels like a balance and more like the devs have some personal disdain for sniping in a franchise that made every class feel impactful. Now its just call of duty rush the point style gameplay, theres a time for both and recon shouldnt be forced to run commando.

What if they made the glint appear only when spotted? I feel like thats the best of both worlds now that I think about it, in many ways it instantly makes recon actually want to remain hidden (instead of peeking every second) by forcing smart players to take cover until no longer spotted and reposition with smokes and what not. That, coupled with a limit to glare/glint on lower magnification and you can basically assume what scope the sniper is using as well. Seems somewhat more balanced than what we've got now at least.
