Well I like to play as a sniper/recon, I usually leave a motion sensor with my team and cover the longest route near the base we are trying to secure or try to find the highest point (best view) to paint where the enemy is coming from. if my team is engaged with the enemy in close quarters (I'm mostly useless there) then I'm trying to keep the enemy from flanking them. Up to that point I think I'm being a team player and I'm playing to my roll as best as possible
My problem with the glare is that it gives me away to enemy fire. There are snipers that are better but I run into squads or single players that are trying to flank and see me as soon as I aim. I don't spect to take them all down but whats the point in the scout class specialty being Intel and being able to spot enemies when everyone can see you when trying to do your job. The way the scout works best is by staying in the back on sniper fights instead of pushing forward with your team.
And I have pushed with my team with the scout class using the pistol and c4 which works better then trying to snipe in close quarters. Whats the point to the scout class, you might as well get rid of it and fuse it with assault, that way you have the sniper and proper primary weapon. Since assault can tank dmg you can deter the enemy better by gunning and running or sitting back and sniping
For open areas the scout class has the ability to spot enemies so it will give a more active role to try to spot enemies and avoid getting your team wiped do to an ambush (scout should move with thier team). But because of the glint the enemy is already wary of your position which honestly makes your role really difficult (for those who play with a bolt action rifle) so the only way play is to lay back and wait. How many kills you get will depend on your own skill and ability to do so (if hope they remove aim assist)
If gint can't be removed then I would prefer something closer to what someone else posted about all scopes having a glint based on their magnification with the exception of iron sight. In which case they should remove the snipers ability to spot and give it something else cause the glint would make it pointless
