Snipers need suppression effect sway and/or flinch
Bolt-Action Snipers can one shot anyone at any distance. It's even easier with the rangefinder.
I agree that the sniper glint is too strong and it's good that they already said it's going to be toned down. But the fact that there isn't really anything to combat snipers except snipers, make the game quite frustrating at times.
Every class has the opportunity to properly fight back against another class, except Recon, where only other Recons with Bolt-Actions pose an actual threat to Recons. The only way for everyone else is pretty much to just not be seen by them and hide.
It's especially bad in Breakout on Liberation Peak. It's just way too encouraging to snipe as an attacker, because nobody comes close anyways, and the defender team tries to keep the attackers from advancing, making everyone an easy target. Now some may say attacking is harder anyways. Of course it is, if half your team is just sitting back there. The defender team also has snipers, and it quickly becomes two battles: One between Recons and one between the rest.
In BF4, being suppressed caused increased sway and being hit caused flinching. Back then people still sniped and were able to land shots. Just not as easy when being shot at and receive hits. This should really have a comeback. Because right now, I can hit a recons repeatedly with any gun, even LMG's and they lose absolutely none of their accuracy and keep a steady scope. Introducing sway and flinch would be something for other Infantry to fight a bit back against snipers. It wouldn't even lead to killing the sniper necessarily, but forces the sniper to go back into hiding, and giving infantry some time to breathe, too.
Right now it's just ridiculous dishing out 4-6 hits to a sniper, only to still get shot in the head. And the alternative is just do nothing and go behind a cover, just so a sniper from another angle gets you.
