For the remaking of old BF2 maps, they need to limit the visibility to match how it was otherwise people can just snipe from base to base pretty much thus ruin the feel and any chance to flank or find a safe path in. Something like a sandy haze or fog would work. It's what the BF3 remakes lacked.

TheRock19999 when I was playing in that map I didn’t get bored for a long time, and when the match was about to end and the map selection popped up on the monitor, I would tell players in the chat to pick Strike at Karkand again, and they would. A lot of people really loved this map

Donforcefeedback I agree. Limiting visibility is key to preserving the original map’s tactical flow. Without it, longrange sniping dominates and flanking becomes nearly impossible. A light fog or sandy haze would really keep the authentic BF2 feel while still allowing smart movement and strategy

When portal comes out with the main, believe that there will be copies upon copies of people's rendition of all the past Battlefield games, including Strike at Karkand (hopefully expand that out some more) and many more. This is something that was needed for a long time.

It naturally creates memorable moments and intense storytelling within matches

I've had lots of great hours in Karkand. Cairo is very similar, but we would still enjoy the original map.

Of course but we got NOSTALGIA so we need Strike at karkand again
