Struggling with Sniping
I am having the hardest time sniping in this game. I played the Scout class almost exclusively in Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V (I skipped 2042, of course), and loved sniping in both games. I was good at it. I wasn't a sniper who hung at the back of the map, to be clear—I played the objective and supported my squad. But I'm struggling in BF6!
I don't know if it's the design of the maps, the TTK, the limited selection of sniper rifles, the bright sniper glint (which looks brighter than each of the previous games I played), or what, but I am struggling with Recon and sniping in the beta. I'm thinking the maps is the biggest culprit since Liberation Peak is the only one of the three beta maps that is more spread out and not a close quarters urban area. When I get set up to start sniping I can't even get a shot off before I'm suppressed or shot in the head out of nowhere. I keep losing counter sniping engagements. I have no time to line up my shots and I keep missing. It sucks! I have more luck getting kills with a DMR than the sniper rifle. And as much as I love the DMR, I miss sniping the way I used to.
I also don't like the way sniping "feels" if that makes sense? It's not consistent and it's driving me crazy.
Maybe I'm just not used to the feel of the game yet, I don't know. But any tips are welcome.
