The Movement Penalty While ADS Needs to Be Reduced
Hey everyone,
First off, I'm having a lot of fun with the beta, but there's one piece of feedback I'd really like to share regarding the penalty for moving while aiming down sights (ADS).
In previous Battlefield titles, there was a good balance of spread and recoil that determined the ideal engagement range and the right way to fire your weapon (tap-firing, bursting, etc.). There weren't many other variables, and it felt pretty intuitive.
However, BF6 feels different.
The moment you move even slightly while aiming, the bullet spread feels like it increases by at least 200%.
Because of this, even if you've chosen the correct firing mode for the engagement distance, the moment you tap a movement key to dodge enemy fire or adjust your positioning, your planned accuracy becomes completely nullified.
I believe this severe movement penalty is actually a poor fit for the current CQB-focused map design in the beta. With so many obstacles and objects breaking lines of sight, the player who is already hiding behind cover and peeking has a massive advantage.
If we at least had other movement options like viable jump-shotting, it might be a different story. But as it stands now, the penalty for any kind of movement while shooting feels far too punishing.
Of course, this might be a non-issue if there are attachments in the full game that can reduce this movement penalty.
Thanks for reading.
