Automatic zero scopes are a real thing, and I have never seen even milsims mess with option 2 outside of a key to manually change the zero of the scope instantly. Given the distances being shot at in the beta maps, which is ~300m at maximum, the drop would be almost non existent. We are talking about ~3-4 inches drop @ 300m with a bolt action, at maximum. The real skill comes with hitting moving targets, if your target is still enough long enough in the open for the range finder to be the defining factor, they deserve the headshot.
Gonna have to disagree with you on this given the above, overcomplicating a problem that is more around high chest shots being instant kills at the moment, which is arguably the real issue with snipers currently.
