What DICE/EA going to do about cheaters? Since happening in beta already

I just like to know what EA/DICE plan is for dealing with  people who need buy hacks to play a online game . Already been shown it happening in beta , videos out there showing wall hacks being use .Which didn't take long at all , I'm not really shock at this point with gaming companies and their bad anti system.

I won't be buying the game and it going to hurt the image more along with 2042(though that had cheaters also but not main reason for downfall of BF ) outcome .  Never felt like it in bf3-4 and seem rare when someone did , I know bf4 had a minor issue with it at one point . I know it going on in BFV , as I watch someone doing circle look and stop at viewing in east and kill me when I was south of them lol .

I rather die to skill players , then to hackers . Lease then I can get better and learn , Like I did in bf3 -4.

I had hope , high hope for a moment in beta  and 8-8-25 change everything ,notice wallhack video out there from youtube/ tiktok main source it seem .

  • Cheating is inevitable in an online game and especially in a beta. Devs can only do so much without completely invading players privacy and fighting cheating is most of the time a reactive battle.

Bf3 and bf4 also had plenty of issues with cheaters as well and if you open battlelog (yes it still exist) and read the forums, most threads are about cheating. Fair fight wasnt exactly the top of the anti cheating tools either. I think you just have forgotten.

This beta is not better nor worse than any previous title but the net code in the beta is not great so many deaths feels like something is off when its not. Turn on performance graph showing damage stats and you will see many (most) times you are hit where the netcode is having delta tick issues. Result is that you feel it as one shot or shot after you get into cover when you in fact was shot by 3-4 shots before you got into cover.

If it bothers you so much then the best solution would be to stick with single player games. No cheating there at least.

Even if it's as you say, it's frustrating to constantly die on the floor. Netcode or not, it doesn't matter to me.
But it doesn't matter anymore. The frustration is already palpable after a few hours, and that's why I probably won't buy the game for now. I think since EA and DICE were happy about every player who played 2042, they only banned a few. And once the image is ruined, the "normal" players won't want to play anymore. Because after every death, you think: cheater.

After reading from EA /DICE is handling and outcome of taking out cheaters , I have some lite hope again for them but still going to wait it out tell release but high chance I probably get a copy on day one /during that first week . Hoping to get some good info from here but I forgot internet ......

  • The reason you didn't see as many cheaters in BF3 and 4 is because the servers almost always had like 3 or more plugins that check stats and other things along with reporting to admins and active admins. Since there will be community servers, you have to find a good one with active admins and it will be lessened. Every multiplayer game has cheaters, it is impossible to get rid of them fully. However, with the updated anticheat in BF1, 5 and 2042, I haven't seen a cheater in a long, long while. At least a blatant one or someone I felt was sus enough to report. I didn't even see someone sus in the beta. Thats just personal experience but again, theres only so much that can be done.

People are already whining about secureboot without knowing what it actually is and it is another step to stop cheating, yet people complain.

Cheating in online multi player game  should bother everyone , those not bother by it probably doing it their self or not into the game at all . I play both single player and multi player games , so nothing bothering me beside companies destroying their IP ,In which some IP have a major follow and BF is one of them for me and many others . Been around for awhile now and many of us grew up on it.

Anti cheat not made for fair fight but fair game , No such thing as a fair fight really unless agree on a fair fight in game ex: hand gun v hand gun or fist vs fist etc , no gear or buffs etc and so one.I never said anti cheat was made for fair fight . I said I rather lose to skill player then to a cheater . I know it a beta , beta I am not worry about since it here to find issue etc .I was more concern about main release and how dice/ea going to handle it .Since it seem their engine wasn't the best compare to other company's . Though in the end they all depend on players to report the issue then have a system to seek it out .

Turn on performance graph showing damage stats, I look for this and couldn't find it in my setting .I know hit box is little off feeling at time and some items might be more op then others .Others learn where keep that cursor mark for fast kills /headshots . Sometime it just connecting and other might have that split second more then you . I die plenty of times behind cover when I was outside of it for moment .Lag sometimes hurts some people lol , there was some lag issue with beta . So hope that also a issue fix during final release .

I know battlelog still around , I still use it random moments when I get a itch for olders games, Only way to join a server for some of them .

Everyone know is they allowed cheating to much and can't handle it , no one going play it mostly after what 2042 did to us .

I hope you enjoy it and all , not sure if this game made for you or not . But see you on battlefield ,if so !

Easy to think "cheater" ,a lot of us go into that mindset real fast and that alone is a issue of our own . Other times just coding like ya said , lag /connecting issue -other might have a better connecting . Think playing little more and just trying to learn the maps  help me some , wasn't as bad in the last  few days really. Plus it is beta , I will judge the game on release date .I probably will buy a copy , unless something happen in first day or two of the game .If I don't do day one buy before seeing outcome ,Lease I won't pre order it .

Wouldn't say "normal" players , more fans of the IP and those been around since the start of DICE or bad company 1 and 2 . Those are ones EA/DICE don't wanna lose really unless they can regain new players numbers, which they will need to do .Since most of us is old or getting there .

Bust of luck and if you do move forward with playing on release /after , have fun ! See you on the field !

I'm not worry about the secure boot , I seen the data they share on bans they done . So there was some positive info  from EA/DICE.

Cheating will happen , sad really.  If community servers like in the past , there shouldn't be much of a issue . It can happen but people will band together and boot that person out asap , I seen that happen a lot in older games ,during their time .

If true :Hear also DS4windows was a tool use to cheat to degree mostly in COD , they are banning that also .Their doing more then I  thought they would , so some faith is put back into the IP .

  • Look, I'm just going to use plain English here. We all know where the downloaded cheating hacks are coming from and what platform is using them.  I'm just saying, we all know.

We can, if we choose, Google for and find and download Battlefield 6 hacks in a couple minutes! And to the best of my knowledge, those hacks are not for consoles.

Therefore, my suggestion is to add to the Cross Play option the ability to turn on Cross Play for Console platforms ONLY.

It's been done before and it can be done again.
