When pressing start on steam, the small window pops up, then goes away and steam stops running it,
I know others are having this issue, but putting it out there to gather more attention for it

The small window you are talking is a picture you can find in the installation folder, it's called like something of the EA anti cheat.
And I have the same issue. I don't know if the anti cheat is doing crap and stop the startup without saying anything
I got it working finally. I wouldn't hope on EA doing any update to this. My assumption is, that it has something to do with local user files regarding older BF Titles (or more precisely older EAAntiCheat versions). Reinstalling EAAntiCheat did not help in my case (helped for a lot of people).
In order to not use any user-specific EA files I had to create a new local user via Windows10 settings. I switched to the new user, logged into steam, launched the beta and finally it worked. Was in the menu.
So I hope I can help anyone with this issue. This did the trick for me and I hope EA has a fix for this once the game releases (and reviews are good enough to buy it).
The solution is in this thread, you just didn't read it. It's literally 2 posts above and says "WORKING SOLUTION FOR THE SPLASH SCREEN SILENT CRASH"
For me none of the solutions here worked. Only a new user worked
Figured it out my antivirus was tripping it I asked chagpt what was causing the issue and that’s what it was saying

i can play bf2042 fine but somehow every time i start up bf6 it goes back to the EA app or steam.

exat same here so annyoing.. only 'solution' is to make a new admin account in windows.. thats sucks
Is this true? New admin account? How is that possible?
