Security Violation - Crash to desktop

First time launching the game (beta pre-download).

I was navigating the menus and modifying settings.

When clicking the Mouse & Keyboard menu, the game crashed to desktop with the following message:
Security Violation
EA Javelin Anticheat has detected an unacceptable configuration. Please ensure no cheat-related or tampering software is active and restart the game. (95)

I'm running the following softwares:
Discord,
Nvidia App,
Nvidia Control Panel,
TradeSkillMaster Application (World of Warcraft auction house software),
OpenRGB (Open source LED controller),
PowerToys,
WoWUp (World of Warcraft AddOns updater),
Iris (Eye protection software - iristech.co),
Steam,
MSI Afterburner,
Fan Control,
Thunderbird,
Topping USB Audio Device Control Panel (DAC software),
UniGetUI,
Firefox.

Thank you for looking into this before the game launches!

  • Well, I hate to state the obvious, but clearly something in that list is not being appreciated by the Javelin system... I do not know which of those would be the culprit, but I would just start working through the list ending processes one by one till you find it.

Exactly this. Unfortunately, there’s nothing else you can do at this time, jODARS . If you can identify the program causing the issue, please let us know, and I’ll do my best to pass the information along, though I can’t make any promises.

  • If it helps you I can cross out some of those, as it works fine for me with them installed:
    Discord
    PowerToys
    Thunderbird
    UniGetUI
    Firefox

  • I’ve just resolved this issue, and it’s actually quite easy to fix. You need to enter your PC’s BIOS and make sure that Secure Boot is both enabled and active.

On Gigabyte motherboards, Secure Boot may show as enabled but not active. To fix this:

    1. Disable Secure Boot.
    2. Re-enable it.

If that doesn’t work, look for an option beneath it labeled Standard. Change it to Custom, then back to Standard — this should set Secure Boot to both enabled and active.

For other motherboard brands, check the manufacturer’s website or support forums for specific BIOS instructions.

I had already lost all hope that I would be able to repair it.
" EA Javelin Anticheat has detected an unacceptable configuration. Make sure that no software related to cheating or falsification is running, and restart the game. (95)"

First, I bought BF2042, played it for a few months, woke up one day and couldn't play because I got this error, even though I didn't change or touch anything, I just went to sleep and the next day I couldn't even launch this “wonderful” game. I thought, okay, I wrote a bad review and forgot about it. Now BF6 is coming out, and I thought that two years after this happened to me, I would finally be able to run this game, but I got this error again, which cannot be fixed in any way. I wrote this just so that people who also have this problem would understand that they are not alone. I really want to play, but I can't because of the stupid reasons for this bad anti-cheat. For some reason, throughout my entire life, I've never had any other problems with any of the games I've played, but somehow this anti-cheat managed to ruin my mood and waste a ton of time. I want to say right away that I have never used third-party programs that give an advantage in the game over other players. I condemn that. If you have a REAL SOLUTION to this problem, please write it down. I've tried everything possible except reinstalling Windows, but I'm not going to do that just to play this game, which doesn't work properly because the developers couldn't make the anti-cheat work correctly.

  • A window should tell you which prosses is making the game not run. make sure to end the prosses using task manager. if that doesnt work because you dont see the prosses then download a shell extension manager like NirSoft ShexView to kill the exe that went rogue and is still running somehow. sometimes programs have a virtual driver or disk, make sure you have none of those enabled like when using virtual voice meter or something like that. you would have to disable those in your device manager till they game this game working properly with some apps. follow these steps and game should launch.

  • I can make you happy. I have exactly the same crap. Sometimes the game starts for me but not for long. Then it closes again with error 95. And yes. Reinstalling Windows will not help. I have a completely clean system but the error has not gone away. I added the EA game folder and anti-cheat to the exception for Windows Defender but this did not help either. I don’t know what can help me but I don’t care anymore. I shook the mouths of the developers of these anti-cheats. Let them buy their own games and play this.

It's a shame that such a company can't make a decent anti-cheat, while other anti-cheats in games work stably on my system, even though they are better than this “Ea javelin” which is poorly made. What's more, they don't even offer a solution to the problem in support, they just throw out their templates. It's clear that they don't care about players. They could at least make this error more understandable so that it points to the exact problem in order to understand what is conflicting. Thank you for sharing your experience

  • The most disgusting thing about this situation is that there are already examples of cheating in their new game. The fight against cheats should be like treating a disease. The main principle is do no harm. Do no harm to the average player. But apparently EA has long since given up on all this.

  • in general, I found a solution to the problem. at least it helped me. I added the entire program files folder where I have EA, EA Anti-cheat and Battlefield to the Windows Defender exception list. in the shortcut properties, I set the launch as administrator. everywhere. EA, EA Anti-cheat and Battlefield. my game started to launch after that. I also had a problem. I am from Russia and use the built-in router ZAPRET to bypass YouTube and Discord blocking. so I temporarily disabled it in the router itself and it stopped throwing me out of the game with a similar error. I've been playing for several hours now without any problems.
