Tanks turn with no player input

Been playing tanks constantly for about 4 hours and no matter what I do the tanks keep turning or won’t turn at all with default controller layout.I will have my hand off controller or I’ll try to shoot and I just start turning or moving in some way. Been asking in game chat and people keep telling me it’s stick drift but I know for a fact it’s not. If anyone know how to fix it please tell me
