Unable to launch BF6 (0xc0000604)

So I launched BF6 during the beta cool down and it launched fine to the main menu.  Couldn't please the game obviously because the next beta is today 14th.   I launched it several times during the cool down.

I noticed and update yesterday and also ran it to make sure it worked and it did.

Today however,

uninstalled it, re-installed, clean installed, check services are removed after uninstall.  Uninstalled EA app, tried steam, no error just wouldn't load.  performed a deep clean clearing cached files, Appdata, programdata, programs files and installed in a new location.  Rebooting several times.  This error above is my last attempt because I'm convince although open beta i've been switched of for some reason.  access denied.   Watching the services in not the EAAnticheat service started but never completely running before the BF6event.exe timed out. After the BF6event.exe time the EAAnticheat service is running and stay running for about a minute or so.   If I run  EAAnticheat whilst the EAAnticheat service is running, the service is stopped and then restarted and the same thing happens all over again.

uninstalled ant virus n all thinking it was AV but nope.

The mad thing is, it was running yesterday with no errors, I'm sure its something there end.  I sure its either contacting EA and using a certificate for authentication or validation but its failing in my case.

So unable to play the 14th open beta.  Gutted, planned a whole evening with a friend.   I notice no one else is on either.  None of my friends who planned to play today.

Anyone else getting this now?  hope this doesn't happen on launch.

  • Battlefield 6 Error 0xc0000604 — August Beta Insights
    •     EA’s backend is rejecting some valid installs due to mismatched entitlement tokens or corrupted anti-cheat provisioning.
    •     The issue is not always local—some players with pristine setups are still blocked.
    •     EA has acknowledged “startup errors without logs” and is investigating trust-state failures.
    •     The error is not listed officially yet, but community reports are clustering around:
    •     EA App token desync
    •     Steam/EA account mismatch
    •     Missing anti-cheat provisioning during install

Reinstall via EA App Only (No Steam)
Some users bypassed the error by:
    •     Uninstalling BF6 from Steam
    •     Reinstalling directly via EA App
    •     Launching from EA App only (not Steam overlay or shortcut)

I tried this with no luck.

  • Revoke EA App Permissions & Re-authenticate
    •     Go to EA App → Settings → Clear Cache
    •     Log out completely
    •     Revoke EA App access from your EA Account page online
    •     Reboot → Log back in → Reinstall BF6

    tried this but trying again.

  • Create a New Local Admin Profile
Some trust-state errors are tied to user profile corruption:
    •     Create a new local Windows admin account
    •     Install EA App and BF6 fresh under that profile
    •     Launch from EA App

testing.  Pain it the **bleep** though.
