“Consumer Complaint: Battlefield 6 PSR Nerf Without Disclosure — Refund Request
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally request a refund for my recent purchase of Battlefield 6. My request is based on a material and undisclosed alteration to in-game weapon performance that occurred after purchase — specifically, the backend nerf to the PSR sniper rifle, which reduced its muzzle velocity and combat effectiveness.
At launch, the PSR was marketed and balanced as a high-velocity precision weapon. This performance profile was a key factor in my decision to buy the title. However, DICE later issued a backend balance change that reduced the PSR’s muzzle velocity from approximately 750 m/s to 720 m/s, directly diminishing its handling characteristics and effective range.
This adjustment was not disclosed prior to purchase and fundamentally changes the gameplay experience that was originally represented. Such unannounced post-sale modifications constitute a material change in the product’s delivered value and violate reasonable consumer expectations of transparency.
