3D Spotting things you could do better

I was thinking it's just awful to be spotted by one sniper and everyone knows where you are. I would recommend that you reduce the spotting only to the snipers squad mates, not the whole team. That of course means some challenges need to be changed.

I sometimes wonder did I get spotted, if you would please make it a outline on the player map when you are spotted, just like below radar.

Vehicles should never be able to spot or see 3D spotting, being killed by 100+ meters because you had a orange dorito over your head is unbalanced. It's just to easy to kill infantry with a vehicle and in turn allows infantry to survive for longer. Is that balanced? Yes you can use 3rd person and will give you a great view of what is going on.

Remember the core player base is infantry not vehicles. Thank you for your time on reading this.

  • As a recon I understand how you feel as my class is always spotted for everything we do, when we are supposed to be a stealth class. But I absolutely agree that 3D spotting was a bad move when it automatically spots enemies. If you spot enemies you should be able to send that info to your allies but only if you do it manually, otherwise enemies should not be highlighted or found easily unless someone takes further steps to block or warn allies. I would be fine with 3D spotting if they had attach it to the laser designator and only while in use and can only spot what it sees or the drone otherwise it's too much

Disagree that BF should be an infantry focus battle and disregard everything else as this is more of a CoD focus play. As the ratio of players to vehicles should be balanced to not skew the game towards vehicle engagement nor infantry. Personally I would prefer that at the start of the game we get only acces to light vehicles or transport vehicles and add heavier or more deadly vehicles as battle progresses in conjunction with capture points.

If you lose all capture points you won't have access to deadlier vehicles after you lose them. If both teams have capture points under their control before the match starts, the only change would be that you start with deadly vehicles but you can still lose them if you are not helping your team in some way.

3D spotting is indeed broken. It was one of the major reasons in BF2042 that i vent back to BF5. Beeing constantly 3D spotting is not fun in any way shape or form. The fact that 3D spotting isen't talked about more is mindnumbling.

They need to reduce the range and remove the slider of the "doritito" scale. Maybe even remove the manual spotting and only make "spotting" trech do the acutal spotting, at least to some extent. It still need to be balanced, like range and the time you're spotted even maybe who can actually see the 3D spot.

Just look at and clip from BF6, they are ALL, like i call it, a red dorrito shooting game. The icon glows through smoke, through cover and what not, its beyond stupid.

Getting killed by something or someone that actually dont see you (all they see it the 3D spot) is infuriating to say the lest. It simply removes any skill from both parts imo.

3D spotting must get an properly overhual, ASAP.

Edit: Not sure on how to balance 3D spot and vehicles tho tbh. Especially air vehicles. Im not rly a pilot in BF6 but I can imagien as a jet player or even a chopper player that with no 3D spots they wouldent get many kills at all.
