The worst part of BF2042 was not being able to play the game at all if you didn’t have an internet connection. I learned this the hard way when PlayStation Network was hacked and couldn’t play this game. This is absolutely disgusting that you would need internet to play. It’s bad enough there was no single player, but needing to log into a server for the solo-coop?! Give me a break.
ShuckMiBawls You mean the January one? Dude, when that happened, I literally played Battlefront 2 with offline bots all day and was like "why don't shooters have this anymore, it's so cool!"
Also, needing PS Plus just to play solo seems dumb. Offline doesn't have this problem.
Exactly! There’s no point in buying the disk version of this game except for to resell because there’s an expiration date on it now when Dice shuts down the servers.
Games need to be significantly cheaper if they’re putting a shelf life on them, not more expensive. You will be able to play Battlefront 2 forever but not 2042 or bf6 if it continues to have these problems.
