Auto-Sprint Automatically Cancels Prone Position When Moving Forward
Platform: PC (Keyboard & Mouse)
Issue Description:
When I enable the Auto Sprint feature (found in Settings > Accessibility > Controls > Double Tap Forward Sprint menu), it creates a significant gameplay problem with the prone position.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Enable Auto Sprint in the game settings
- Go prone (press the prone key)
- Press W to crawl forward slowly
Expected Behavior: The character should remain prone and crawl forward at normal crawling speed. The prone position should only be cancelled when the player presses the prone key again.
Actual Behavior: As soon as I press W to move forward while prone, my character automatically stands up and starts sprinting. This makes it impossible to crawl slowly or maintain a low profile while prone with Auto Sprint enabled.
Impact: This issue forces players to choose between:
- Having Auto Sprint enabled for normal movement (quality of life feature)
- Being able to use prone position effectively for tactical gameplay
Requested Fix: Please add an exception so that Auto Sprint does not override the prone stance, or provide a setting to disable Auto Sprint activation while in prone position. The prone position should only be cancelled by manually pressing the prone key, not by movement inputs.
This issue has been reported by multiple players and significantly impacts gameplay for those who want to use both features.
