Banned for game enhancements

I havent cheated and my stats reflect that theyre quick bad honestly but I was banned for game enhancements. I appealed it but I found out today that the mouse i purchased can have macros programmed into it. I didnt know that when j purchased it or anything and im not tech savvy I just like to play video games with my buddies. Am I completely screwed with getting unbanned and just need to rebuy the game? Its very heart breaking
