Battlefield 6 Perma-Ban After 660 Hours – Please Hear This Veteran Out
Dear EA Community Team,
On November 28, 2025, my account was permanently banned for “Game enhancement.” I have already submitted an appeal today (Case #230962653). In that appeal I tried to explain my objective view of this ban; here I only want to express the disappointment and heartbreak of a Battlefield fan of ten years.
Before I look back on my experience, let me briefly introduce my account.
My Battlefield 6 ID is: DUSZEN_h. I am currently level 520, all weapons and vehicles are at max proficiency, and I have 660 hours of playtime. I have basically been playing every day since launch. Of course, some people may suspect that I have taken part in using bots to farm weapon XP and experience, but I believe this behavior does not negatively impact other players or the overall game environment, and I do not believe it disrupts the balance of any competitive match.
I first got to know Battlefield through Battlefield 3 and 4. At that time, my family did not have a PC capable of running the game, so I could only watch the neighbor’s kid play, but I was deeply shocked by the atmosphere and immersion of the battlefield. It was not until 2021 that I built my own PC. The first thing I installed was Battlefield 4. Even though the game had been out for many years, its modern warfare setting was still my favorite.
Then came the release of 2042. As a long-time Battlefield fan, I was blown away by that trailer, especially the Rendezook moment, which made me pre-order the deluxe edition without hesitation. The launch itself was disappointing and in many ways it felt less polished than Battlefield 4, but it was, in the strict sense, my first Battlefield of my own. I kept playing through it, and by Season 1 I finally saw a glimmer of hope. I knew DICE and EA had not given up on this series. Over the following seven seasons, I watched the game grow from nearly unplayable into a content-rich, excellent Battlefield title, and that made me genuinely happy. The final free Battle Pass, “Battlefield Legacy,” felt like a perfect love letter to players like me.
During the Battlefield 6 beta, I stayed up two nights in a row because I found it incredibly fun. All the movement details, destruction, and immersive atmosphere that were missing in 2042 felt perfected in Battlefield 6. Many people thought the challenges were too difficult and weapon mastery requirements too high, but I was willing to spend the time to figure out how to complete them because I truly love this game.
Of course, I have work and a life outside the game. When I learned it was possible to use Portal to farm mastery, I took part in that as well. Besides using Portal to grind weapon XP and experience, I also spent a lot of time in regular matches against real players, especially in the battle royale mode. Due to the TTK changes in battle royale, I always felt I could not perform as well there as in the main mode, but I still kept practicing and queued up with professional players I know.
During this time, we ran into many actual cheaters, but we still forced ourselves to fight and beat them. Like most players, we hate real cheaters. Yet on the second day after Thanksgiving, I discovered that my account had been treated the same as those cheaters I despise and permanently banned. I was in shock for a long time. After I calmed down, I sent my appeal to EA, but my feelings gradually shifted from anger and a sense of injustice to sadness and disappointment. I even shed tears when I told my friends about this.
I was genuinely happy about the success of Battlefield 6. I saw its daily active player count reach 200,000, while previous titles such as 2042 only peaked at around 100,000. I really felt that Battlefield was back. To support it, I subscribed to a one-year EA Play membership. I played nearly 2,000 hours of Battlefield 2042, and in less than two months since Battlefield 6 launched, I already had 660 hours. That alone should show how much I love this game. When I saw people online saying Call of Duty is better than Battlefield, I would argue against them, because in my heart Battlefield is my favorite online game, even though it is not perfect and even went through a disappointment like 2042.
This permanent ban has left me feeling truly cold. If I had actually used cheats, I would accept the punishment without complaint. But for a game I love so much to wrongly treat a ten-year Battlefield veteran as a cheater feels like being betrayed by someone you deeply trust. That is how painful and disappointing it is.
I am writing this post in the hope that it will draw the attention of the official team, so that this kind of situation will not cause more players who genuinely love Battlefield to lose heart.
