BF6 and REDSEC
If I "bought" RedSec, then later bought BF6, is that "kosher". e.g. can I still play RedSec without further outlay?

Why are you speaking in codes and riddles? How did you "buy" REDSEC, a free-to-play game? And why would it not be "kosher" to continue playing a free-to-play game, regardless of buying or not buying parent content?
Unsure what you mean, but REDSEC is free. Battlefield you can buy.
On a side note, I'd recommend avoiding both. They are in a bad state of playing, currently.
