BF6 Visual problem.
An old pc gaming newbie here.
I've been having a problem where everything around my sight blurs. best example is in the firing range and i look at one of the targets through my sight, the ones in my peripheral are extremely blurred and larger (almost like they look through the see through ish pause menu in the range while looking at them), no matter which sight as long as it's not iron (everything is clear as day with irons). In matches this is making hard to NOT see an enemy in my peripheral when they have a glowy blur around them. While awful to look at this is helping me in some engagements.
If i go face a wall and aim you can see the whole shade of the screen change a tad outside of the sight. It's almost like my guy is actually squinting when he aims lol.
I understand this for say a 4x scope, but even the 1x reflex blurs the exact same amount.
I've tried all number of combinations between my monitor and graphics settings, in game too. sovis, motion blurs, chromatic stuff and i've changed the dof to 0.
The dof thing is what i thought it would be at first, as it looked like it was blurring my peripherals in the same way it was my gun, but sadly it just made the gun clearer and not everything else.
I'm new to pc gaming so i'm really struggling with this and no matter how i type this problem anywhere all i'm getting is "motion blur" or "dof" related answers that i've already tried.
Is this normal? potentially a bug? or is the solution hidden my end somewhere?
Also... lol, i get a weird watermark effect around the engineers rocket and the assaults helmet on the loadouts screen where the sun hits them, for the life of me i can't make that any better either, however this i only notice on the menus.
That being said this whole debacle has got me more savvy with the aa side of things. The game in every other aspect looks phenomenal.
For what it may be worth i'm playing on 9800x3d rtx5080.
