Big mistakes

The BF6 development team, especially the RedSec team, has made several major and fundamental mistakes. But two of the biggest problems are the state of cheating and the Ranked system.

In Multiplayer and other parts of the game, cheaters are basically ruling the game, and unfortunately, Ranked is no different.

Ever since Ranked was introduced, the game has gotten significantly worse, and the desire to cheat has increased to a ridiculous level.

I’ll say this with confidence: at least 50% of the Top 250 and Master players are cheating and using some kind of cheat.

Just go into Spectator and watch some of these Master players. Most of the players I’ve seen are Master 4 or Master 5, while their account level is something like 50. Seriously, is that even logical?

Here are some examples of things I personally experienced:

On GOLF, the moment we landed, one player immediately wiped our entire Squad with an LMG while using Hip Fire. We barely even had a chance to react. The player was Master 5.

I also encountered a Master 4 player who killed me with a CZ through a wall.

These aren’t just random incidents. What makes some of these players especially suspicious is the way they actually use these cheats.

Some of them apparently don’t keep the cheat active all the time. When their score starts going negative, they become much more careful and seem to use it only at certain moments when they need a kill.

They also use guns with extremely high rates of fire, which makes suspicious behavior harder to detect because when multiple bullets land rapidly, they can simply blame it on recoil control or skill.

And then there’s something like an SVDM with a 10x zoom.

Seriously… how is that supposed to be normal?

When a player is using a setup like that and performing with that level of accuracy, especially when it is combined with other suspicious behavior, you simply can’t ignore it.

And the problem isn’t only the cheaters. The Ranked scoring system itself is a major problem.

The entire RP system is basically designed to favor campers.

What is the point of having a Ranked system where getting kills until the late game has almost no meaningful positive impact on your RP?

I’ve had countless games where I got 5–8 kills, our Squad had something like 15 or 17 kills, and I still finished the game with only +2 RP.

How does that make any sense?

Why should I even fight?

Fine. Then I’ll just sit in a corner and camp until Top 6, and then get 5 kills at the end.

That’s the optimal strategy?

Where is the fun in that?

Where are the roots of Battlefield?

Battlefield has always been about gunfights, combat, Squad Play, objectives, and those insane battlefield moments — not sitting in a corner for the first 15 minutes and waiting for everyone else to kill each other.

I’ve said this many times: Ranked should reward the actual performance of the individual player.

It shouldn’t just be a separate server or a separate mode called “Ranked” where campers and cheaters become kings.

In almost every match, for at least the first 15 minutes, barely any Squad gets wiped.

The Zone is almost over, yet there are still 20 players alive!

Who are these 20 players?

20 campers and cheaters!

Is this really what Ranked Battlefield is supposed to be?

If Ranked is supposed to be a competitive mode, then actual player performance should matter: kills, damage, objectives, Squad Play, revives, support, and real participation in combat should all have an impact on RP.

Simply staying alive and camping shouldn’t be the main strategy for ranking up.

And on top of that, the Anti-Cheat system needs to deal much more seriously with players displaying abnormal behavior. When a Master 4 or Master 5 player can repeatedly display extremely suspicious behavior and still remain at the highest levels of Ranked, it destroys players’ trust in the competitive system.

I honestly have nothing else to say.

Season 1 and Season 2 were the only really good periods of this game for me.

After that, you ruined it.

And now we’re just waiting for the Nicki Minaj skin and the clown skin!

Because apparently Battlefield is slowly moving further and further away from its roots and turning into something that barely resembles real Battlefield anymore.

  • I will 100% agree with the cheaters problem even though I hate redsuck.

When I play a regular match, and get that stupid top squad thing where I have to see someone with that sticker for winning, what, 10 redsuck matches in a row?  It's not even a question, that's a cheater.  They'll have a 20/1 KDR and EA sends me an email back saying "thanks for the report, but our anti-cheat is completely worthless."

The anti-cheat in this game doesn't even exist.  EA makes their posts patting themselves on the back, trying to say only 5% of the games actually have cheaters.  Anyone who ACTUALLY plays the game knows that number is completely wrong, and it's probably closer to 50% of the games.

As for the CoD-ification, yea.  Everything that makes CoD trash should be rejected from BF, but instead it's just always the devs making the game more CoD every day.  They made the vehicles just like CoD.  They make the gunplay just like CoD.  The make the entire game just like CoD.  Then when we complain they just scoff and tell us we don't know what we're talking about, and this is how BF has always been.
