I have lots of friends that play BF6 with me. I wonder if it is possible to build a private server to play with my friends in opposite teams without bots? One Nato team and another Pax teams only with friends. I've tried to build a server in Portal but we end up always on the same team

The only way is to activate the FRIENDLY FIRE. It`s not the ideal scenario, but activating it, it will allow you to "kill" friends.
It really should be an admin option, but it is a function you can create manually.
You can make a server where you can be on opposite teams. It would be a custom server and you would have EA's XP limitations du jour.
The way you do it is with a custom script. You can make it in the rules block editor which makes it less daunting. What you do is make some event of your choice cause you to switch teams. For example, shoot at this object in your spawn area to switch to the other team.
Lol. A totally understandable and basic thing to want to do in Portal (or even in the main game) and another embarrassing fail from EA/DICE.
SO many things are over-simplified, dumbed down, not working, missing, badly designed, etc and, yes, Portal is one of them.
To be fair it's quite difficult to play WITH friends because the party system limits you to 3 and doesn't work well anyway. Awful.
Spent hours making a tdm server to play with mates only to find out we cant be on opposite teams... total let down wtaf........ getting sick of this game so quickly
Agree! Should be possible to switch teams on a server. Should be an option in portal server settings. By default it could be turned off. But a server admin could change this setting by manually enableing teamswitch. Please add this DICE / EA...
