It's down to the way bullet physics work in Battlefield 6. Different guns use different types of ammo, snipers and DMRs fire heavier rounds that keep their velocity longer, while SMGs use lighter, smaller rounds that lose speed faster and have less drop. Snipers also have zeroing, which seems to lower bullet drop, but it doesn’t actually change the physics it just adjusts the point you’re aiming at to match the distance. If you don’t zero your scope or you’re using ammo other than long-range rounds, you’ll notice the bullet drop a lot more. Once you start shooting at longer ranges, you’ll still see some drop, but it’s definitely flatter overall compared to older Battlefield titles.🤷♂️
