I am in favor of an opt-out system, with tools to block/mute players, but with little to no moderation. That said, let me play the devil's advocate and represent the opposite side as well.
If you don’t agree or like what someone is saying you can simply opt out of participating in voice chats.
The problem isn't that people have disagreement, it's that voice chat is sometimes abused to express different forms of discrimination, including sexism or racism.
There’s a thing called freedom of speech and I love to exercise my rights.
Freedom of speech generally refers to freedom from the government/legislature to interfere with what you're allowed to say. It doesn't apply to private entities. EA is allowed to make their own terms of service and other regulations as long as it doesn't conflict with the law.
