I get it EA, you wanted to maximize the number of people available for lobbies. But ultimately, console players are just disabling all crossplay anyway, limiting their own pools, and disproportioning the pools for anyone who wants to play with friends on different consoles.
We don't have two of the same next-gen console, but we do have a PS5 and an Xbox. We bought two copies to play together, and it lasted one night; it's just not fun with 90% PC players matching with us.
Give consoles the option to crossplay only with other consoles; it'll increase pool sizes and improve player longevity.
