Ideally, I would like to be able to disable all female voice lines. However, it would still be a great improvement if I could set the gender for my character.
Absolutely. And it's not even "Muh women belong in the kitchen" toxic bs, their voicelines are simply violating my ear canals with their high-pitched screams. You're in the middle of a firefight, and suddenly your ears get blasted by a high-pitched female death scream. Forget flashbangs, just send your mate who got assigned a female soldier into the group of enemies.
Also, I'm a man, I wanna play as a man. If we're getting female soldiers so "women can play as women", then make it a choice. Women will be able to play as women, no matter the class, thus avoiding the "healslut" problem many games have, where the female characters are only available for one class, and we men will be able to play as men. Both sides win as everyone is able to play who they want without being locked to a specific class.
