EA/DICE, please allow us to change the gender of our characters in-game. I, for one, would not have grinded the Road to Battlefield 6 battle pass had I known both characters were female.
I really enjoy the realism of playing Battlefield as a male character. For context, NATO has a 12.7% ratio of women in its armed forces, and 27% in civilian staff. In terms of active-duty members of the U.S armed forces, women make up 17.7% of that ratio.
Diversifying well beyond these parameters misrepresents the people who actually serve their countries, and inhibits gamers from enjoying a more realistic experience while playing Battlefield.
Again, please consider allowing an option to change the gender of these characters that were gender-locked, especially considering that this was unbeknownst to us players beforehand.

Hi EMMANUELHOLYONE,
Just to let you know, I have merged your thread with this one, as it's similar.

Hey ElliotLH ,
Are you sure they are similar enough? I am requesting that EA/DICE add male countertypes to the skins they released that are a part of the Road to Battlefield 6 battle pass(among other unlockable and purchasable character skins that have been both teased and revealed), as a lot of them are exposed as being gender-locked to female/women only.
I am not necessarily requesting to be given a toggle to remove women soldiers altogether, as that would contradict the realistic expectation I am seeking. It would be cool to have male countertypes, is all.

It's a very nuanced discussion topic. Fortunately, it received enough responses that if EA chooses to ignore it you know it wasn't because of lack of visibility. EA/DICE still have to prove to me that their work is worthy of redemption.
Somehow, I don't think they are quite ready to measure up after all this time.
