Controversial Topic, but... Female Soldiers.

Unfortunately, I just submitted my refund request.  I didn't realize that classes in multiplayer are gender locked.  Despite my numerous interactions with this original post, I never actually read it.   

Now that the game is here and I see the trickery that EA and DICE have pulled, I can't give them my money for this game in good conscience.  Here is a re-post of my good bye message to the franchise from Steam: 

"I'm extremely disappointed Electronic Arts and DICE can't remove themselves from gender issues.  I didn't even realize the incredibly weird gender dynamics game EA/DICE played with character customization in multiplayer.  I don't know who at EA needs to hear this, but I don't give a rat's **bleep** about character bios.  

It's like no one at the company got the memo that you do not need to use every opportunity to force DEI into a game about war.  

I'm barely a man in real life.  All I want to do is be a strong man in a video game and do manly things.  I want to create a male character who goes to war.  That's it.  

I don't want to start a match as a White man and find out that I turned into an Asian woman by the end of the match simply because I changed my class halfway through.  

While others may not care or be bothered by this, I'm too old to constantly fight this battle with modern gaming.  I sincerely hope that this new generation of gamers finds something to enjoy in this latest iteration of the franchise, but I don't know if there is anything for me here.  

Perhaps the Saudis and Jared Kushner will convince Andrew Wilson to let men become men again and not be **bleep** by strong women in future games, but its obvious that this is not that year.  I'll be taking my money and wasting it on indie titles in the interim.
