I don't have a problem with females being in the game, but I do have a problem with how pushy it feels to lock the male options behind grindy challenges and in the case of NATO support, not having the option at all. It reeks of agenda. All the "characters" have unnecessary biographies that 99% of people don't care about in the slightest. It's out of touch. The "creative" types on the dev team making those decisions with their weird sonichu OC fantasies and identity flags need to go before the next installment. They creeped in during the peak of the DEI era on BFV, fully infected BF2042 and made it insufferable. Diversity isn't a bad thing unless it's your whole personality and it gets pushed onto everything you do. It's exhausting for the 90% of us that don't care.
Nameless and faceless grunts is what we want with a simple male/female check box option. I don't even want the most generic names or faces. Cover it all up. Gas masks, balaclavas, gloves, goggles, etc. That way anyone can RP as whatever they want.
I know big corpo EA won't go back on this because big corpos are DEATHLY afraid of inclusivity politics like they have PTSD from gamergate, but at least make this change in BF7. Please. Thankfully EA just went private so it may happen.
