Cross-platform is not working properly

I recently was playing with cross-platform turned off on bf6. Met a fellow gamer who was on PC. Yet the game still said he was playing on xbox and allowed him in our match. I checked his profile and I was surprised to see he was actually on PC. So my question, is he spoofing his ID to get in our lobbies? He was also hiding his stats. Cheater? I have played every bf title with multiple hours and this just seems a bit suspicious.

In Battlefield 6, few things work correctly (unless the exit game key), so you have to get used to it - because unless EA/DICE abandons work on this game in the near future, in a few years we "may" see some good changes.
