Fix the TTD & Weapon balance!

These two issues are single-handedly ruining this game in my opinion.

TTD:

This has not improved at all since the beta. We were told that improvements were made to the netcode to resolve the issue of being instantly killed. I cannot feel any difference at all.

I cannot stress enough how much this issue kills the game experience. You have NO time to react, take cover or return fire once you’re being shot. It is literally instant death. 

There is a MASSIVE disconnect between TTK & TTD.

Because of this issue, the game quickly becomes tedious and unenjoyable. I will jump on with friends and within 10 minutes, we ALL become tired of the rinse and repeat nature of this game.

Spawn kill die, spawn kill die, spawn kill die.

It gets boring real fast.

In all previous BF games, I cannot think of one that felt this bad.

The TTD issue WILL kill this game for many!

 

WEAPON BALANCE:

The balance of weapons needs and overhaul

There are 2 main issues.

first, is the recoil imbalance.

We have many auto weapons that have next to NO recoil. Couple that with aim assist and you literally have laser guns. 
There is no way that an auto weapon that spits bullets should have nearly no recoil at all.

What this also means is that weapons like DMR’s become absolutely useless to use. DMR’s have a slower rate of fire and have been given ALOT more recoil. 

Recoil and spread needs an absolute overhaul across the board.

 

Secondly, the damage values of weapon types also needs revising.

Why is it that I can be killed by an SMG at 100m??

Assault rifles, SMG’s, LMG’s should NOT be effective at any distance beyond 80-100m

Each weapon type should only be effective at their designated ranges.

Spread should be significant if you use a weapon beyond its intended range. Weapons should be almost useless if used beyond their intended ranges.

Spread on a weapon that is being used outside of its intended range should be SO bad, that it discourages people from using it out of its intended range.

This would then make other weapon types MORE VIABLE to use. 

At the moment, a DMR’s and bolt actions can be outgunned by an auto weapon at stupid distances.

DMR’s are marksmen rifles. Self explanatory. They have lower rates of fire but should be hard hitting and accurate. 
Why on earth does it take up to 4-5 shots to kill someone with a DMR?

This makes DMR’s almost useless.

DMR’s should be 2-3 shot kills, MAX.

And this is exactly why nearly everyone is running with an auto weapon that spits bullets. Because they win most engagements.

These issues need to be fix otherwise this game is going to have a short shelf life.

The gaming experience is just not fun. It feels frankly awful.

We should be playing into the night, anxiously looking at the clock, knowing we should get to bed.

Instead, we don’t play for long, feel annoyed when we play and end up throwing in the towel and logging off far earlier than we would if the gunplay felt good.

Gunfights should be just that. A fight.

You should be able to EXCHANGE gunfire. React. Take cover. 
But you simply CAN’T.

It is literally a case of who sees who first and then… dead.

The disconnect between what YOU see and what the OTHER person sees makes this even worse.

Because there is a complete DE-SYNC.

  • Jesus Christ the TTD is dreadful.

    They can’t honestly WANT the game to play like this.

    This needs sorting as a priority.

    The gunplay feels awful.
