If you know that you get out in the direction you are looking, turn to point the direction you want to get out. It makes perfect sense. And you have the advantage of knowing what you will be pointing at when you jump out.
Getting out in the direction opposite of where you are looking doesn't make a lot of sense. You would have to learn that it's going to do the opposite of what you are trained to expect after so many games. And, you would never know exactly what to expect when you get out, because you aren't looking that direction.
