I been watching content creators on you tube talking about some folk complaining about how the weapons are Lazer beam accurate with no recoil and that the game developers are going to make changes. In the real world a good firearm is capable of tight grouping on target with proper handling. If they make the firepower of this game worst, it would not be realistic.
I think the important part is still shooting in bursts. There is some recoil, but more importantly there is a lot of bloom when shooting (you can see this pretty obviously in higher-capacity magazines like the LMGs). Holding down the trigger has a huge amount of spread, but shooting in 5-10 shot bursts keeps it much tighter as one would expect.
I find certain guns hold a good grouping but only with quality attachments. I find a fair number of guns need their recoil reduced along side the impact of things like vertical grips. (The starting assault rifle on pc fells like an am firing, while in all actuality it should be comparable to the m4)
Yes but the bloom on certain guns is also super over kill, the sig spear puts half a mag off target. Also bloom is an old system that really should not be used do to the extreme arcade shooter feel it give, bullets go where the gun is pointed, they don’t go sideways.
Im enjoying watching all these streamers say the gunplay sucks, because it does.
The balance is so out of whack and there are so many variables with attachments, varying degrees of asinine ADS bullet spreads and actual visual recoil. Its just a hodge podge and a crap shoot when youre new and testing out new guns.
EA needs to being the ADS bullet spread back to Beta values. Their day 1 release patch 1.0.1.0 explicitly says they increased ADS bullet spread across all weapons. Its embarrassing that EA as a collective agreed on making guns worse.
