I also support this idea. Hardcore mode has always been one of the defining experiences of Battlefield, and limiting it only to Portal feels like it takes away from its importance. A lot of players want a more realistic and challenging experience, and Hardcore provides exactly that. By putting it directly in the main menu, the developers would not only make it easier for us to join but also show that Hardcore is recognized as a core part of the game, not just a side option.
