ppls who like it play it, they don't sit all day on forums complaining about dumb things like no XP vs boots , everyone who is better then me must be cheating , game too fast , and similar ridicules things.
Not coming to a forum is hardly an indicator of 'liking' a game.
It takes a little care and a little effort to be bothered to complain and most people can't be bothered and don't care enough about anything much, never mind a game.
Most 'gamers' these days aren't fans or enthusiasts, they are just 'consumers' like in any other industry.
The greedy corps rely on modern consumers just taking what they are given and moving on when they are bored.
Battlefield I guess just got me emotionally invested from the moment I played bad company 2. I do agree like legit fans have become more of a rare thing these days. Yes, it does take effort and care to voice criticism or complaints. I use that same effort to praise a Battlefield game being this good again. I want to believe EA, Dice, and everyone behind the scenes on this project know they made something special and will take the time to iron out the few kinks.
I understand, but the years of franchise fans being largely ignored when criticising BF5 and then EA/DICE doubling down for BF2042 beat the hope out of me.
BF6 is definitely better than BF2042 and maybe as good as BF5, but it's still a huge disappointment with glaringly horrible design choices compared with BF1, BF4, BF3 and pretty much any classic BF.
The franchise wildly lost it's way with BF2042, but BF6 is not anywhere near the 'return to form' promised. That was retro marketing poop.
Still, I'm repeating myself and I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to beat you into submission hehe.
I'm glad you can see the positives and are enjoying the game. I admit I'm enjoying it some of the time - that makes it worse though in a way. Even more frustrating when it disappoints.
I don't have any hope for the game or faith in EA/DICE. If I'm surprised and it gets better? Yay. I doubt it though.
