Idea for next Battlefield
This suggestion is huge change back to old days of playing Battlefield and FPS:es with established classes. I do enjoy roleplaying aspect of games with distinguishable class rosters. It helps building readability, dedication, focus, management and co-operation. What I do wish is that so called "sub-class/kit"-thinking wouldn't dissolve idea of selecting a role and playing fullest of it. I also hope that whole loadout would have carefully chosen equipment options there.
So, here's recommendation for a backbone of what I do wish to come true.
- Assault: His job is to be a frontline soldier, damage dealer and getting upper hand in combat. He aids team via makeshift pathways and clearing out objective areas. Unchangeable locked class gadget slot would have a option between either a zipline or a grappling hook.
- Medic: His job is keeping team mates alive and healthy in battle condition. He aids team via medical supplies, combat boosts and revival item. Unchangeable locked gadget slot would be a defibrillator.
- Support: His job is to be firesupport and ammo carrier of team. He aids team via direct and indirect firesupport weapons and ammunition supplies. Unchangeable locked gadget slot would be a ammo box.
- Anti-armor: His job is to take out enemy armored targets. He aids team via various rocket launchers and anti-armor explosives. Unchangeable locked gadget slot option would be either a MANPATS or a MANPADS.
- Engineer: His job is to keep team's arsenal and other structures operational as well as layout defensive fortifications and traps. He aids team via construction kits, repair tool, AT and AP mines. Unchangeable locked gadget slot would be a repair tool.
- Special forces: His job is to carry out sabotage and infiltration missions behind enemy lines and in their base against Commander installations and map assets. He aids team via sabotage explosives, infantry scanners, suppressed technology and disruptive equipment. Unchangeable locked gadget slot option would be a C4 or other similar sabotage charge.
- Marksman: His job is to eliminate targets at range, provide target acquisition and keep oneself from being tracked. He aids team via designators, spy drones, camouflage tech, AP mines and disinformation tech. Unchangeable locked gadget slot would be a portable laser designator.
