Im Done holding the line, im done waiting in the mud.
To the High Command,
I write to you today not as a green recruit, but as a weary veteran of sixteen hundred grueling hours in the trenches of the Sixth Campaign, and countless more deployed across every theater this franchise has ever known. I gave my utmost to these servers. All of it, I now find, has been repaid with a dishonorable discharge—exile, levied against me simply for taking up a standard-issue controller in the heat of battle.
There was a time when the word Battlefield meant something profound. It stood for honor, for camaraderie, and for the sheer awe of the fight. Today, I look upon the front lines and see only a tragic jest. I have stood by and watched true rogues and charlatans—men of high rank who flaunt their illicit cheats—march freely across our maps untouched by the anti-cheat artillery. Yet somehow, the swift and unjust hand of command comes down upon me.
I can defend this institution no longer. I am done holding the line. I am done waiting in the mud, pretending that with just one more update, or just a few more dollars emptied from our war chests, we might ever recapture the glory and the spirit of the Fourth Campaign.
That war is over, and the phantom we chase is gone.
I am laying down my arms. I am walking away from this front forever, and I leave you, and the franchise I once loved, with a heavy and aggrieved heart.
Respectfully,
WoodShoe
