Does anyone know how to type text chat in game on ps5? I see people's message's popping up but not sure how you do it..

Press the options button> click on the touch pad> click X button to type chat

Yo why nothing happens after i press x? It was working then it stopped?
The released game plays so fast, I am impressed that you have time to type a chat with others. I can barely catch my breath across respawns.
Same thing happened to me it was working , now it’s not, it says I had no reports on me . it’s just greyed out when I try to hit x to type . I did make fun of a kid who got mad at someone else using the helicopter he was hoarding and called him a spoiled brat . But stilllll
