Increased bloom mixed with limb multipliers... not a good mix

I've heard the recent update was supposed to reward skilled players, this couldn't be farther from the truth. Mixing increased bloom with limb multipliers makes the game more about luck rather than skill. You could aim for the chest and if you hit 2 limb shots you may be dead, its a roll of the dice really. I know some people who say gunplay feels like **bleep** now and i agree. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of limb multipliers but the bloom and recoil should have been left the way it was. Anyways i wanna know what other people think, comment below.

Bloom isn't simply "RNG deciding fights." It's a mechanic that encourages fire discipline. Bloom is largely mitigated through burst firing and trigger discipline. Its purpose is to discourage holding full-auto at ranges where it shouldn't be the optimal choice.

DICE has already explained their philosophy behind the new gunplay:

"Mastering gunplay comes down to three skills: aiming, recoil compensation, and weapon knowledge. Aiming is, of course, a foundational skill to succeed in a gunfight. However, to master automatic weapons, you'll need to embrace and master deeper shooting techniques, such as compensating for recoil and bursting shots."

I think the last point is important. Weapon mastery isn't just about controlling recoil—it's about understanding the strengths and limitations of the weapon you're using and adapting your firing accordingly. That includes trigger discipline, knowing when to burst, and knowing when full-auto is no longer the optimal choice.

What guns are you having to burst fire someone at 15-20m? You do realize that a proper burst fire isn't drastically slower then full auto right?

in a game where 20 miliseconds can determine a gun fight? take the sg 553r for example. buddy is 15 meters away roughly. i aim at his neck chest area with perfect aim and some how im getting limbs 2 limb shots increase the time to kill and your dead. if im lucky enough maybe one or 2 bullets would hit the head rather than a limb, but if my luck is bad the bloom randomly rolls dice on the limbs. bloom shouldn't be like this at close-medium ranges. and im not even gonna get into a fire fight between one who has a latency ping of 20 ms while the other has one about 80 ms. gunplay is all determined by luck and who has the better connection.

Yes, but bloom is not going build up and deviate your bullet from the chest to the limb at those distances either.

Edit: read your newest post. The smaller the area you're aiming at, the more chances a bit of bloom will be enough to miss. There's a risk/reward for going for those.

  • these were good changes. game as it was before was just a shoot first aim later simulator.

hell this patch theres been the odd occassion where i really should have died but just had the better aim.

  • yah i agree it is stupid how they keep breaking the game after every update then back peddling trying to fix what they made and they dont listen to the comunity when they say ''we here you''
