Joystick support

So how hard would it be for the developers of this game to add joystick support for flying aircraft using a PC. All other BF games have this support so one would think that it would not be hard for these EA experts to install the software line items from say, BF 2042. By the way, BF 2042 did not have it upon release. $60.00 plus for a game should be able to cover all players style if playing.
