Latest Update Introduced Multiple Gameplay and UI Issues

So I've been playing a bit since yesterday's update, and it's really not great. The number of additional bugs is just staggering, and I'm not even on PS5 (for those who don't know, the optics are completely screwed on PS5 at the moment). The delay in getting kills notification, getting the wrong optics when going in the range, the mini map issues, the wrong setup being displayed in game, the range setup not showing anymore... Oh, and waiting for contracts that never come (seriously, it works for some, not for others... It's probably bugged).

All of this is coming on top of the bugs introduced previously. Well, maybe the medics show properly now when you're down, or would if the mini map didn't just disappear. But really, it's been an accumulation of many, many bugs without fixes for a long while now.

And then there's all the stuff that just isn't moving forward. Sure, the new sights are welcome (if you're not on PS5), but that was a problem that had been identified in the first couple of weeks after release. What about reviewing the assault class? Rebalancing Eastwood? Reworking AA?

It was clear at release that EA spent a ton of money to get this game out. It's been equally clear the live service has been run on the cheap since then. And this simply can't go on. And you can't just say "oh we're delaying season 5 to put in some more work", because you already pulled that for season 2, and people could not tell where the extra time went.

You need to start investing, or this game will collapse. As for me, after about 11 months of playing BF6 close to daily, I'm happy to play a lot more Wardogs now. Not because it's an alternative to the BF formula, it's a very different, uncompromising beast, and BF would be much more my schtick. But at least those devs seem to know what they're doing and actually care about their players.

  • Even with the reticle change that took a year, they still didn't really put out a good solution.  About the only reticles that saw a real improvement were dot reticles.  Anything else just got MORE noise and the reticle now completely dominates your vision.

If they would at least add the ability to adjust opacity for the reticles, they would be loads better.

I would classify this as a CoD change.  I'm sure guys like enders are out there creaming themselves over this change.  Now if only they would remove everything that makes it Battlefield, and add in everything from CoD, this game would be so great!

    Hey, there

The team is actively tracking these post-update issues, and you called out several items that are already on the radar in the [BFComms] Battlefield 6 - Known Issues 9/15/2026.

For the PS5 optic issue specifically, the team officially noted that a fix for those thick black borders is scheduled for the upcoming 1.4.3.5 update, while [BFComms] Update 1.4.3.1 Deployed was deployed earlier today to clean up server desync.

To help the team pinpoint why your firing range setups and contracts are dropping, could you share what platform you're playing on, and whether toggling the new "Picture-in-Picture Zoom" setting in your Video options helps stabilize your optics?

    That’s… A very odd question, I don’t understand it.

whether toggling the new "Picture-in-Picture Zoom" setting in your Video options helps stabilize your optics?

Maybe I didn’t express myself correctly, I was talking about the issue where your setup has one optic, but it gets switched to another one once you go into the firing range.
