In fact, it seems to go both ways: high-ranked players who aren’t as good as one would expect, and very low-ranked ones who are incredibly skillful. For a beginner, for instance, rank progression is very quick, but competence progression not so much. As for how a low-ranked player can be so skilled, I don’t know. Regardless, rank is just not useful for making relevant distinctions among players.
However, developers should find a way to grant beginners and casual players a chance to play what would seem to them like a fair fight. I may be wrong but it is important that the game offers to everyone who is interested in playing it the possibility to fit in well.

I assume you mean skilled at aiming and shooting: there's plenty of FPS out there that have a much higher skill-ceiling than BF6. Good players who spent countless hours playing COD, Valorant or CS would be good from rank 1.

I wouldn’t know, but I guess you’re right. I just can’t help comparing myself to them, which is probably why some very low-ranked players seem so good (at aiming, shooting and, for some of them at least, everything else). The point remains, though: casual modes should avoid mixing high-skilled players, regardless of their rank, with beginners and casual players.

They could bring Back Breakthrough Initiation and rank cap that so it's beginners only. That'd work in my mind.
