No CoD style movement 'tech' please

The 'normal' movement looks a little fast, but the really worrying things I've seen are the sprint-jump-slide and the bunny-hop slide-cancel.

I don't particularly like the fall-damage removing crouch-roll or the crouch-sprint, but I can live with them (as long as there are disadvantages to aim, etc)

The omni-movement 'tech' that's starting to become evident is way too 'CoD' though and even if there are disadvantages to aim it will still get done to attempt to avoid damage and will look plain stupid.

One thing that differentiates Battlefield (or should do if being faithful to the franchise) is the more tactical gameplay and the gritty atmosphere.

Once the twitch-play bros find the weird movement metas, combined with the low TTK every encounter will be a dumb full-auto-dance-dance-revolution competition.

Not much point in keeping the cosmetics soldier-like if they are all leaping about like electrocuted ballerinas.

I don't have the exact quote, but David Sirland mentioned that he didn't want players to have the ability to cook grenades. I'm paraphrasing here, but he didn't think it would be fun if grenades could kill players without them being able to respond to it. Instead he views grenades as area denial tools.

But yes, I'd certainly be in favor of having the ability to look around with just your head and not the rest of your body. It would also open up the ability for you to use an eye tracker like Tobii or TrackIR.
