With obliteration being available only through custom filtering there are no longer enough players to keep it going. All matches are now bot matches and whenever a team starts losing the entire enemy team usually quits and you get a pure comp stomp lobby.
Obliteration needs a permanent spot on the main menu. It might as well be removed from the game with it gone from the menu since 99% of players will never custom filter for it.
Obliteration should be rolled into the "All-out Warfare" category. It's only one three maps so it won't get too tiring.
Stats released from the latest community update from DICE themselves showed how popular the game mode was. The top 3 played maps this season were also obliteration maps. Obliteration itself logged in 413 million player hours despite only being featured in a dedicated playlist for a limited time. Please bring it back and add more maps to obliteration pool, do not bury it and let it rot like this.
Well, let's hope they make it permanent. It was surprisingly good.
The funny thing is... since they removed Obliteration from the main menu, I've only played the game twice and only for an hour. Now the other mods seem terribly "bland".
The tactical mod for obliteration is unfun chaos. Conq is boring. Breakthrough and rush are meat grinders without tactics...

The thing is that it's not a temp mode. It's still there, just the dedicated playlist for it is gone. DICE needs to make obliteration playlist permanent and expand the map roster, not bury it in the UI through custom search while leaving it to die. I've only gotten one non bot match of obliteration since the change, and even then it still wasn't a full lobby.
I only play Breakthrough. Temp modes are exactly that, temp. No point in investing time or energy into it/learning it for it to go away.
Same. Was the only reason I still played this game and now that it's gone (I don't count bot matches, that stuff is lame) and dead, I see no reason to keep this game installed on my drive. Good to see other people feel the same way.
I hope bf studios sees this, WHY ARE BOTS IN OBLITERATION. 24v24??? INSTEAD OF A REGULAR 32v32???????ARE YOU SERIOUS. Ive been waiting for this mode since bf4, now that its here, after 2 weeks its filled with bots. There are over 40,000 players on steam, and who knows about console. It should be filled out with players not bots. Please fix
Bring it back to main menu plz. Also the game mode is broken after each match the same map will load forever so even more people won't play it because of that. i guess best thing to do for now is go back to menu after each map
This is exactly why the temporary mode model doesn't work.
They neglect the main modes and the masses of regular glitches, (adding more if anything), then they throw these temporary modes into the bin, with no plans to return some of them back.
It's a very poor way of working.
