[Old] Solo play with bots

Yes, noticed it was changed today, but still not fixed for solo play like 2042

Unbelievable, still forcing us to conform to only playing PvP...they really ARE a manipulative bunch of developers. It is apparent now that this ideology of forcing "PvP-Only" down our throats is no one's but their own. They are the real problem here, not the average pvp player.

For christ sakes guys, just make a Portal-only player profile...copy paste most of it's logic from MP and allow it to only be localized to portal matches, not competitive MP matches. is this so difficult to do...I mean it's been done in other games more than 20 years ago, including COD Ghosts.

Farming issues solved, PvP bitching solved, PvE bitching solved...everyone happy. Done, merry xmas!

Even if you had four of your friends to play against bot's, you still couldn't play, it's forcing the server to be filled with 10 human players minimum, unbelievable.

Bots primary role is to keep players entertained while wait for other players to join server.
Terrible menu UI makes it hard for people to gather on portal servers.

I think it would take too long for 8 ppl to fill considering how the browser works? could we have a timer that reduces the number of players needed to start until it just fills? lol

This definitely needs to be fixed. With the rampant cheating and toxic attitudes, a lot of people just don't play because they are forced in to PvP. 

I've had people fire back with "But it's a PvP game!" when I bring this up. But, not everyone wants to play that way. Not everyone wants to deal with the toxic trolls because they aren't good. Some people might just have anxiety about playing online. Maybe I just want to practice my aim, learn the classes and maps, or try out strategies. And there is absolutely zero reason those people should not be allowed to play with ONLY bots, if they want.

You think this ppls are capable of any such sort? This is like 5th OP topic where he QQing about not being able to farm bots for XP and not being able to get refund for measly 70€. 

It's ppls with psychological issues, not a game one. 🤣

Just checked again today in the Portal to see if bots were back, and holy cow, they were available, EXCEPT... Need 20 players minimum to start and as stated, 12 bots max. My buddy and I on a squad and not only was there only 12 bots, but it did not balance the teams.

You cannot make this stuff up. So Portal is still trash and we cannot play. Oh well, I have not been playing it anyway since we were all dumped on when they took bots away initially. So nothing has really changed.

What a major disappointment this company is. And they used to be great.

So what you are saying is true but you forgot to mention one important thing. Dice has had functional bots and even local server hosting starting back with BF1942. And that game came out in 2002. Oh how the devs have crumbled.
